Energy Wise Workshop

Energy Wise Workshop In-Person

We are thrilled to offer a new program to help homeowners and renters save energy and reduce their PG&E bills.

We invite anyone to speak with our knowledgeable “Energy Wise” Coach at the Madelyn Helling Library on the last Thursday of each month from between 4 and 7PM. We choose this time slot when the library is open late, allowing people to come after work if desired.

We encourage you to bring PG&E bills (one for a summer month and one for a winter month would be best). If you have an on-line PG&E account, you may also log in on your own laptop or library computer to review your bills with our energy coach.

We can help you understand your utility bill and look at your current rates, time-of-use plans, and help you identify where you may be able to save the most energy. The same service is available for Pioneer Community Energy customers. For those who have propane instead of natural gas, you may bring information on your propane usage, if you have it.

If you are interested in energy savings tips or energy efficiency improvements in your home, our energy coach will be able to steer you to resources (some projects can be done DIY) and financial incentives (rebates, tax credits, coupons) that may decrease the cost of energy retrofitting renovations.

Feel free to bring pictures of particular aspects of your house, such as windows, doors, weatherstripping, furnace, A/C or water-heater, as those can be helpful to assess your energy improvement options.

Please tell your friends about this FREE service we are offering to the community. SERi is a non-profit organization, we are not charging fees or selling products.
